Components in Continuum of Services
Positive normative culture provides continual feedback on CD related issues and behavior.
Educational Curriculum: health, science, and special content areas to provide basic education and prevention programming for all students.
Wellness program stresses healthy living habits for all students.
Frequent formal and informal individual contact with one-to-one staff member, Treatment Coordinator, and Big Brother and Big Sister to discuss drug and alcohol issues provides mentorship and ongoing feedback to students.
Each student develops specific ISP/IEP goals regarding drug and alcohol issues.
Guided Group Interaction confronts unhealthy drug and alcohol related behaviors, verbalization, and attitudes daily.
Intensive individual and group sessions for students identified with advanced needs.
Wolves Club provides healthy peer role modeling.
On-campus 12-step work.
Participation in off-campus AA/NA meetings is provided when appropriate.
Spiritual opportunities both on and off campus if requested.
Frequent staffing regarding each student’s specific drug and alcohol needs and progress.
GAIN evaluations conducted as needed to identify substance abuse issues and dynamics.
Risk Assessment reviewed at six-month intervals.
Discharge planning goals and meetings include discussion of drug and alcohol issues and needs.
Relapse-prevention goals and team are established well before discharge.
Two year post discharge tracking provides support and intervention following discharge.
