Normative Services, Inc. (NSI), a Sequel Youth Services program, sits on 300 acres nestled at the base of Wyoming’s Big Horn Mountains just outside Sheridan, WY. NSI offers an array of services for today’s at-risk, adjudicated, and emo-tionally disturbed youth, while providing high quality academic, physical, and vocational educa-tion in a safe and nurturing environment. NSI is a co-ed Joint Commission-accredited treatment and educational facility, which focuses on the thera-peutic intervention and redirection of negative behavior, while recognizing desired positive be-havior. Throughout a student’s stay, he or she is challenged to analyze failures and experience success in nearly every area of life.
Normative Services Mission Statement
NSI’s mission is to facilitate positive and lasting behavioral changes with a student population of high-risk adolescents, helping them to learn to live safely and productively outside the structure of the residential care setting. Staff, students, and families work together to ensure a positive normative culture as our primary therapeutic tool. The goal is to promote norms of physical and emotional safety, mutual respect, confrontation of inappropriate behavior, and commitment to group and individual goals.
